Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Book Publishing Builder is operated by LV SHOWS LIVE LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Book Publishing Builder web application (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, which we use to log you in via a passwordless magic-link email and to identify your account.
• Book project details: information you enter about your book — title, genre, word count, manuscript status, publishing goals, and the content you generate or save using the AI writing tools (titles, descriptions, keywords, author bio, and similar metadata).
• Payment information: purchases are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout and never touch our servers — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with a Stripe-assigned reference ID.
• Usage data: basic, first-party analytics events (e.g. which pages were viewed, and whether an account signed up or completed a purchase) so we can understand how the Service is used. This does not use any third-party analytics or advertising service, and does not set any tracking cookie beyond the session cookie described below.

3. How we use AI tools

The Service includes AI-powered writing tools (title, description, keywords, categories, author bio, back-cover copy, launch plan, bookstore pitch, social content, and announcement email generators). When you use these tools, relevant details about your book — such as its title, genre, and the specific inputs you provide for that tool — are sent to OpenAI's API to generate the requested content.

The Service also includes an AI cover art generator. Using it sends the same book details (title, genre, saved description) to OpenAI's image API to generate cover concepts. If you choose to upload your own reference image to guide the style, that image is also sent to OpenAI for that purpose and is not stored on our servers beyond what's needed to complete the request. We do not send your account email or payment information to OpenAI. Review OpenAI's own privacy policy for how they handle data sent to their API.

4. Cookies

We use a single, first-party session cookie to keep you logged in and to remember whether your account has purchased full access. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and book project data for as long as your account exists, so you can pick up your work where you left off. If you request deletion (see “Your rights” below), we will delete your account data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain limited transaction records (such as payment confirmations) for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we delete your account and associated data, at any time by emailing support@app.booksjk.com. We'll respond and process reasonable requests promptly.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers necessary to run the Service: Stripe (payment processing), our transactional email provider (login links and receipts), and OpenAI (AI content generation, as described above).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
